You got to ask why the UK sucks in so much imported Labour.

Sadly, high unemployment in the 80’s and 90’s was good in one way because the dross were out of work, now there is such a shortgage of skills that these people have to be taken on for better or worse….and bacause the remaining UK labour force are so shockingly lacking in basic and quality skills, people from the former Eastern Bloc, many of whom speak better English than some of our counterparts, come to fill the massive demand for quality relatively inexpensive labour.

For those employers who publicly bleat about this, examine more closely who you'd prefer to employ if you had the comparative choice? A foreigner who are motivated to send money back home or a CHAV who speaks pidgin English my less spell his own name and whose primary lesson is railing against people taking "their" jobs!

It would certainly not be the gobby CHAV who have been bought up to think that the world owes them a living, just because they are English and no matter how lazy or stupid they are!

That is the sorts of character we are increasingly breeding in this once great land of ours.

Whilst JimBeam has some valid points to make - if you want to see the biggest spongers on state handouts, WE are most definitely the worst offenders. The sooner we face that, the sooner the problem will be tackled.

In my experience within the UK Civil Service our ranks are riddled with incompetent and poorly trained officers, not helped by the fact that the rules and regs are also bewildering, that’s why despite your travails about foreigners are a double edged sword….

Here's the thing - were it not for well trained/spoken/mannered Poles – Czechs etc much that Londoners (where I live) take for granted would be staffed by surly inept and otherwise un-employable English people.
