Asset and Property Management - Land Securities
The role will bring together both asset and property management and focus on driving investment returns on all assets as well as delivering excellent customer service and satisfaction. It will be the first time that such a role has existed in the London business and will control assets of over £8 billion.
Jonathan is joining from DTZ where he headed the Inward Investment team having previously been in charge of the West End Business team. Jonathan was with DTZ for 12 years and prior to joining themhe worked at Hillier Parker and for 10 years at Knight Frank.
Jonathan’s appointment comes as Robert Heskett, currently Head of London Asset Management, announces his intention to step back from a day-to-day operational role at Land Securities. Robert has been with the company for 30 years and has agreed to stay on and help with the hand over of the asset management portfolio to Jonathan as well as to work on the plans for the London business as a demerged entity.
Robert will be part of the London business until at least the end of 2009. He has more than 22 years of Central London commercial property experience and this will serve him well in what be an exciting and challenging role. He is well known and respected and I look forward to his contribution as a major part of my team.

On stepping back from day-to-day operations Robert Heskett said: “Jonathan will make an excellent addition to the team. I have very much enjoyed my 30 years with Land Securities and look forward to the next two years.
