Work for one of the premier names in industrial, engineering and telecom cables and cabling systems. Currently hiring a Business Development Sales Manager to drive and develop sales through the UK.

Your role is to sell the range of specialist cables, cabling, cable accessories and system solutions to the manufacturing, engineering, construction and industrial environments. This will be achieved through multiple routes to market including specifiers, consultants, contractors, distributors, resellers and end users.

A good level of technical competence is required, as is an understanding of both the manufacturing process and customer product integration. You must have the capability to understand not only their business model and value proposition, but also to know how and when to sell to the various parties involved.

This could suit experienced sales people from an engineering, electrical or construction supply background with an appreciation of the fibre optic, data cabling, structured cabling, networking or speciality cables and cabling sector. Maybe you (or someone you know – candidate referral scheme operated) currently sells into the datacom, telecom, structured cabling, process, factory automation engineering or manufacturing markets.

This is very much a functional sales role, and could be internally considered something of a start up scenario. They have the products, the market’s attention, brand, reputation and business support – ready for you to take the initiative and grow the specific product sales.

Those capable of meeting the challenge will be rewarded with a high basic salary and uncapped OTE (expectation around 30% of basic), company car and benefits as well as the full support of a focussed and dynamic commercial and technical team.
